Abstract
Open fractures of tibia are among one of the common injuries seen in orthopaedic practice following road traffic accident, due to its subcutaneous location and poor muscular envelope. Therefore it remains a difficult challenge for orthopaedic surgeons to achieve the primary goal of treatment in obtaining a functional extremity. This was a prospective study to evaluate the outcome of open tibia and fibula fractures of grade I and II treated with delayed primary unreamed interlocking nail fixation. carried at Hospital Kuala Terengganu.
