dc.description.abstractThe effects of recycled poly(ethylene terephthalate) (R-PET) powder filled natural rubber compounds were investigated. The compounds were prepared on a laboratory siza two-roll-mill at room temperature. Two different studies have been carried out; i) effect of R-PET loading up to 40 phr on the propeties of natural rubber and apoxidized natural rubber, and ii) the hybridization of R-PET with commercial fillers on the propeties of natural rubber compounds. Results indicated that the maximum torque, torque difference, scorch time of SMR L compounds increased with increasing R-PET loading, whereas ENR 50 compounds showed the decreasing trend in scorch time and cure time.en_US
