Abstract
Inkjet printing technologies offer huge area of production capabilities for both electronics and sensor. New application as low cost disposable electronics for monitoring the health are in the most interesting field on study[1]. The main aim of this project is to study different layout thickness of temperature sensor that been exposed to different temperature range between 100 oC - 170 oC while keep the length of the temperature sensor constant and the behavior of the electrical properties of these sensors. Besides, fabrication procedure also has been proposed including material preparation and also testing procedure. Furthermore, the result obtained for the relationship between various temperature and different thickness of the layout is inversely proportional. This is due to the ink used for the temperature sensor which is carbon black. Carbon black are characterized as semi metal element. It is also estimated that the settling time of each temperature sensor is about 15 minutes to 25 minutes to return to its room condition resistance values. The calculation of the theoretical value will be different because some of the unknown such as the temperature coefficient are been ignored. The resistivity of carbon black at the room temperature are also been estimated. The variation result obtain is due to uneven design printed and the exposing of the temperature sensor to high temperature.
