dc.description.abstractThis study sought to examine the relationship between three categories of predictor variables (organizational, job and personality) and innovative work behavior. The sample in this study consisted of 227 white-collar employees from 17 manufacturing firms in the state of Penang. Regression analyses on the data showed that two organizational related variables (supervisor-subordinate relationship and organizational climate for innovation) were positively related to innovative work behavior. In addition, two job variables Gob autonomy and job complexity) were found to be positively related to innovative work behavior. With regard to the influence of personality, this study found that two personality variables (proactive personality and openness to experience) were positively related to innovative work behavior. The findings, implications, limitations, and suggestions for future research were discussed.en_US
