Salah satu sebab industri ini mendapat perhatian adalah emisi karbon dioksida (CO2) iaitu dihasilkan daripada aktiviti pembinaan dan merupakan punca utama kepada masalah alam sekitar. Among the various industries, which have a negative impact on the environment, the construction industry is the one receiving the most attention.
