Fast depletion of fuel resources and environmental pollution are two major issues associated with the abundant use of fossil fuels. Since combustion is the mode of fuel usage in almost all applications, these issues can be tackled only through appropriate and efficient combustion techniques. Accordingly, porous media combustion (PMC) has demonstrated as one of the promising options. Although PMC has been extensively researched, more attention is needed to explore the feasibility of this technology, for practical applications. In the present work, energy efficient eco-friendly, mesoscale and premixed burners based on PMC, with liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) as fuel, are developed.en_US
