| dc.description.abstract | This study is focused on project management application towards development approval in order to speed up Local Authority Development project. These fenomena has been the main issue at national level that persuade local authority to increase its perfonnance in development project approval in order to fullfil the country development aspiration. The objective of these studies is to explore and develop new approach to teduce problems in any development project approval which includes reviewing the normal Local Authority Management system, identify suitable approach to project management, identify constraint in project approval and to prepare action system which is more effective and efficient. This will help to speed up the local authority process on development project approval. The study is done based on data and secondary information from relevant published reports on Kuantan Municipal Concil. To support the study, impirical questionares was given out to developers and consultant to seek opinion and overall views on the council development project approval. The approach where management problems on development project approval was identify and listed earlier. With the relation matrix technique, main problems has been highlighted as the project objectives. From the findings 4 main problems was fonnulated consists of Council Development Aim, technical organisation structure which is more departmental orientated and its development structure emphasized toward the Local Government Act rather than the organisation aim. This matter should be given great attention to help speed up development project approval in Kuantan Municipal Council. This study can be studied in more detail and comprehensive manner by Ministry of Local Government to able to form uniform and standardized development project approval that can be implemented by others local government in Malaysia in the near future. | en_US |
