Information Literacy (IL) is a process that requires learners to find, determine and evaluate, and use information effectively. This qualitative research focuses on the design and development of a training module on IL for Teacher Librarian in Penang. The aim was to give exposure and training regarding IL and use the IL skills to enhance the ICT initiative supplied by the Ministry of Education to all schools in order to avoid wastage. Preliminary training on 20 Teacher Librarians was based on The Big6 model by Eisenberg and Berkowitz (1988). The development of this module was based on the Morrison, Ross and Kemp (2004) model and the Rapid Prototyping model by Tripp and Bichelmeyer (1990). The module was conducted iteratively with constant revision and enhancement of four prototypes, with the third version being the actual research conducted on another group of 20 Teacher Librarian. The final module was the third version. Data were collected through interviews, participant’s reflection, observation and questionnaires from the module. Overall, Teacher Librarians agreed with this final module. However, some constraints such as financial and teachers’ cooperation need to be considered for continuous training in order to increase the effectiveness of this module.en_US
