The mixture of soil with other construction materials such as solidium cement, silicate and bitumen has been used widely in the making of soil blocks. However, the soil used is the one that does not have the exact aggregate size composition. This study is done to identify the effect of aggregate size on the strength of soil blocks. It used different aggregate size of soil in the making of soil blocks. Specifically, this study aims to find out the influence of soil aggregate size on the compaction strength of soil blocks. Moreover, it also aims to identify the most suitable soil aggregate group and composition with respect to the compaction strength, in the making of soil blocks. The separation of soil groups from bulk soil is done using the sieving technique in laboratory. Then, various categories of soil based on aggregate size were used to make soil blocks. Soil blocks are produced using the soil from each size ~ category wholly or depending on the determined percentage. The result of this study indicated that the use of different soil aggregate size with specific amount or percentage in the soil blocks can produce higher compaction strength than using bulk soil which have inconsistent compositions. The making of soil blocks using 1.18 mm or smaller soil aggregate size is the best aggregate size combination to achieve the highest compaction strength. Lastly, this study also indicated that the usage or addition of 10% cement ( Ordinary Portland Cement) into the combination of soil aggregate size produced three times more compaction strength than the original.en_US
