dc.description.abstract	This research is divided into two components of fire safety system which are passive fire safety system and active fire safety system. These two components are used for controlling and avoid the spreading of fire at the starting level from destroying of properties and killing human life. Design of these systems must be follow of the standard and act which are proved. The needing of specification for renovation of the heritage building that change to other function or use must be according to UBBL and JBPM. Research is carried out on the building of Memorial Pengisytiharan Kemerdekaan and Muzium Tuan Yang Terutama to identify the design aspects of the passive and active systems that has been employed. From the research that have been done, these two buildings have fulfill the acts and the standards even though the heritage criteria and aesthetic value still be maintained.	en_US
