dc.description.abstractThis study is aim to bring the comprehensive description on comparison of Extended Aeration Activated Sludge and Sequencing Batch Reactors treatment plant packages which concern to the treatment process, advantages & limitations, applicability & suitability, design criteria and operation & maintenance approach. The main objective of this study are to distinguish and investigate the most important features, the principle and concept, design parameters and the aspect of operation & maintenance for both treatment plant packages which make reference to a typical case study. Chapter 1 until Chapter6 are discussing about the approach and methodology for the study and also the review of wastewater treatment process background. Further in Chapter 7 until Chapter 9 focused on the evolution of sewerage treatment system in general and also its development in Malaysia. The full description of comparison for both treatment plant packages are discussed in Chapter 10. Commonly, this study has identified the Significance comparison characteristics for both treatment plant packages and steps towards determining the treatment plant designation.en_US
