| dc.description.abstract | Urban design study i.s a complicated study in planning field. This study includes macro and micro perspective. From macro perspective, the study includes the whole component of urban design in study area. Thus, this micro study needs the detailing study of each unit of existing component urban criteria. Generally, Kota Bharu had declared as "Islamic City" in November 1st, 2005 by Kelantan Sultan, DYMM Sultan Ismail Petra lbni Sultan Yahya Petra. Because of this declamination, it had attracted the researcher to find out the real identity and urban component in Kota Bharu and how much of what they claim as "Islamic City" is based on truth. This study is focused on studying the element of design and also the urban physical in Kota Bharu. This allow the researcher to find out the truth of the hypothesis. This study also focus on identifying the suitable concept for Islamic City and give the recommendation. This study ended by the conclusion of the study. Although the observation method such as Robustnes and Openes Method is used in this study, but the 'result on this study can help other researcher who need certain information about urban design in Kota Bharu. In this part of study, the researcher also study of urban morphology in Kota Bahru. Furthermore, by studying the urban morphology, it let the researcher to get an idea about the earth component stage in Kota Bharu. In conclusion, this study hopefully can benefit to all and can give some ideas to the reader who interested to know something about urban element in Kota Bharu. | en_US |
