The study was designed to investigate the effects of modelling training and parental guidance on students' aggressive behaviours in Medan-Indonesia. The modelling training model was developed based on Bandura's social learning theory (1959). Parental guidance model was developed by the researcher based on the local community practices related to personality development. This study employed a quasi experimental design using two experimental and one control group. A sample of 90 students were selected using purposive random sampling method from male aggressive students in three junior high schools (SMP) in Medan- Indonesia. The sample was divided into three equal groups. Treatment group 1 (Rl) was given the modelling training, treatment group 2 (R2) was given the parental guidance, while the third group was designated as control group (K). The data were collected through a questionnaire developed by Bandura (1959) with modification and adjustment to suit the local context. The questionnaire has a reliability index of 0.78. The data were analyzed by utilizing Analysis of Variance (Anova) followed by post hoc comparisons. The results of this study A indicate that there are significant differences between the mean score of treatment group 1 (Rt, M=24.60) and the mean score of treatment group 2 (R2, M=35.43),between treatment group 1 (Rl) and control group (K, M= -5.93), and also between the mean score of treatment group 2 (R2) and the mean score of control !:,TfOUp (K). On each aspect of ag!:,Tfessiveness, there are significant differences between the mean score of treatment group 1 (R 1) and the mean score of control group (K) on the aspects of antisocial, anger, bully and violence, but not in the aspect of negative culture. There are significant differences between the mean score of treatment group 2 (R2) and the mean score of the control group (K) on all aspects (antisocial, anger, bully, violence and negative culture). The mean score of treatment group 1 (Rl) is not significantly different from the mean scor of treatment group 2 (R2) on the aspects of antisocial, anger and bully.en_US
