Fusarium is one of the most common fungal species causing post-harvest diseases on fruit vegetable. A study was conducted to isolate Fusarium from rotting fruit vegetable to determine the presence and association of Fusarium isolates towards the fruit vegetable. Nine types of fruit vegetables namely okra (Abelmoschus esculentus), tomato (Solanum lycopersicum), bitter gourd (Memordica charantia), red chilli (Capsicum annum), brinjal (Solanum melongena), cucumber (Cucumis sativus), Indian okra (Moringa olifel), loofah (Luffa acutangula) and long bean (Vigna sesquipedalis) which were obtained from several markets, hypermarkets, Relau Agriculture Department and vegetable farms in Penang Island and Gurun, Kedah were used in this study. Eighty-three Fusarium isolates were successful isolated from fruit vegetable rot symptom and based on morphological characteristics, eight species were identified, namely F. oxysporum, F. semitectum, F. solani, F. proliferatum, F. pseudocircinatum, F. sacchari, F. equiseti, and F. verticillioides. From pathogenicity test using 70 isolates, only 21 isolates were pathogenic through wounded treatment and five isolates through non-wounded treatment.en_US
