Abstract
Every employee needs motivation in order for a company to achieve its objectives and to be a leader in an industry. Employees who are motivated tend to be loyal, enthusiastic and offer ideas for company's growth. When a manager can identify what motivates his or her employees, they can use that to effectively inspire their employees, enhance their performance and create a healthy working environment. Managers today facing challenges in handling issues pertaining to employee motivation and decisively companies' performance are diminishing. Hence, this study attempts to examine the relationship of leadership, job enrichment, organizational culture and reward structures as well as the moderating role of management on employee motivation in Kulim Hi-Tech Park. This study involves a questionnaire based survey of selected 400 employees from Kulim Hi-Tech Park. The frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability test and regressions analysis was used to analyze the results of the research. The results of this study indicated that all four items of independent variables which are leadership, job enrichment, organizational culture and reward structures have negative relationship with employee motivation. Meanwhile, regression analysis shows that only leadership, reward structures and moderating factor of role of the management have positive effect on employee motivation.
