Abstract
The Science of Tawhid: Study of Comparison the Book of
'AqTda.t a1-Naj1n with the Syllabus of KBSM Tawhid and that
of the Private Secondary Religious Schools in the Nothern
West Coast of Malaysia.
Some changes have been made in Tawhid syllabus in
schools especially under the National Education System.
However the unstability of the Muslim's religious and
sosial order is very worrying among the Muslims. These
above mentioned problems can be overcome through a proper
education system. The question here are the Tawhid Syllabus
which are in practise today whereas in those days these
kinds of problem was not very obvious.
So this study emphasis on the contents of the Tawhid
Syllabus. This study is comparing the Science of Tawhid in
ancient time by 'Aqida.t a1-Najin with the Tawhid Syllabus
of KBSM and that of the Private secondary Religious
Schools. The comparison is based on the importance of
Islamic Faith and the Science of Tawhid. It also include
the types of threats and mislead towards Islamic Faith. The
Main pUrpose of this comparison is to know about the
advantages in the above mentioned resources espec i a 11 y in
the book of 'Aqtda1. a1 Najin, hoping that if would create a
wide scope of the syllabus.
This study is divided into six chapters. The first
chapter is an introduction, contains facts and back ground
of problems, explanation of the subject matter of the
research, objective, benifits and the methodology of
research. Chapter two is about an introduction of the
science of Tawhid. The discussion includes the meaning of
the Science of Tawhid, another names of the Science of
Tawhid and the ka1ima1. syahadal. (confession of Islamic
faith; the witnessing that there is no god but God and
Muhammad is Her Messenger) and the concept of serving Allah
( ibada.t>. segregation of Tawhid, matters contradict of it
and the importance of Islamic Faith and the Science of
Tawhid. The third chapter is about the biography of the
author of the book of 'Aqfda.t a1-Naj-in and its synopsis.
Chapter four dipicts the background of the KBSM and SMAR
syllabus which have been choosen for research. Chapter five
presents the analisis of comparison between the contents
of the book of 'Aqtda.t a1-Najfn with the Tawhid syllabus of
KBSM and SMAR. Chapter six is about conclusion and
proposal.
As the result of this study, Tawhid education must be
arranged stage by stage based on the need on introducing,
rejuvenate, strengthen and defend the Islamic Faith.
Specifically this research shows that 'Aqfda.t al-Na{in is
usefull to defend the Islamic Faith from the fear of
mislead especially in the aspect of U1uhiyya1_ and its other
advantages. The Tawhid syllabus of KBSM is suitable to
introduce Islamic Faith and the SMAR is suitable to polish
and strengthen it.
As a conclusion, the combination of all the
syllabus mentioned. it wi 11 create a new and wide Tawh i d
syllabus with its vast cont•nts.
This study can be made as a basic for more detail
and specific research in this field to solve the mislead
and social probles among the Muslim.
