dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this research was to investigate linking procedure of two Form 2 Mathematics tests with focus on psychometric properties of anchor items used. 10 anchor items were selected for this purpose. Linking procedure is one of important steps in development of item bank. Analysis of both tests and quality of the anchor items were based on measurement framework provided by Rasch Model using WINSTEPS 3.69. Test A was administered to 411 students while 307 students sit for test B. Results showed that the measurement framework used was able to identify quality items from both tests. Anchor items were also functioned well to link the two tests. After linking, 68 items were found suitable for development of item bank while the other two items were dropped. In addition, the current research suggested a definition of Mathematics Proficiency construct based on ordering of the items on the scale score. The research also discussed delimitation of the study as well as direction for future studies. Two suggestions for future are (1) to ensure good quality of the developed items, and (2) to ensure the chosen anchor items are from different difficulty levels.en_US
