Abstract
A well design product still can cause harm to the consumer as the defect in the device can happen during manufacturing. Thus, testing the device is essential to ensure only zero defect device will be sent to the market. Automated test equipment (ATE) helps testing the device automatically and at faster rate. The objective of the research project is to develop a dual sites test solution to for audio codec device including analog loopback by using V93K ATE tester. Since audio codec device is a mixed signal device, it is necessary to test the modem data ADC/DAC channel to ensure it can function properly. The 20 tests including analog loopback test are created to test different part of the device. These 20 tests include continuity test, leakage test, supply current test VMID output voltage test, frequency test, ADC distortion test and DAC distortion test. The result obtained for all the first 20 tests show the tests are passed for both sites. For analog loopback test, the result show a 131 cycle of sine wave with 2048 point was captured at DOUT pin. After coherent waveform reconstruction is performed, a clear sine waveform is captured. Then the waveform is analyzed by using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), and a spectrum will appear. The values for all the parameters are in the range and the result obtained for the both sites are passed. In conclusion, the objective for the research project is achieved with all the test are passed at both sites. The advantage for analog loopback is it can test ADC and DAC channel at once which not only will reduce the time to test the device but also can save the cost.
