Abstract
Frequency estimation techniques are the best method to get the right frequency signal. This project combines the two parts of the sampling part and the microcontroller division. In the sample and hold process, it measured the analog signal at uniform intervals known as sampling. Analog signals (continuous) will convert the digital signal (discrete) to make sure the results will be displayed in digital form. The objectives of thesis project are to study methods in frequency estimation, to design a frequency estimation method and simulate the system and to develop estimates of the frequency of use of software and hardware implementation. The signal frequency is decided in the range 10kHz to 100kHz for this project. The sample-and-hold circuit diagram design by using Multisim 11.0. Run the simulation on Multisim11.0 to get the simulation results. The EAGLE PCB Design software are used for the hardware implementation. The schematic diagram is generated using Multisim 11.0 and transferred into a layout for printed circuit board fabrication. Test the PCB circuit to get the sample-and-hold result and data. That data will have sampled to build the lookup table for microcontroller programming. Finally, the simulation results are more accurate than PCB results. The performance Op amp affects the PCB results.
