dc.description.abstract	Years ago, the performances of Kampar city are very impressive especially the commercial activities. This is affected by the tin mining activities in Kampar area. But now, the scenario has turned the other way round. It is influence by the factors such as the fall of tin market in 1983 and a new development such as North South Expressway (PLUS) and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). The changes can be seen through the commercial activities. Therefore, the objective of this research is to study about the changes of commercial land use. The changes will be identify from the comparison of land use data in certain period (1980 and 2007). The data of 165 commercial shops will be taken from government agencies and from the inventory method. Overall, the findings is there is some changes in commercial land use in Kampar which are the type of main commercial activity and the total nunl~C. of shop that are still operate and vacant shop. In conclusion, there are urban changes in Kampar especially the commercial land use and it affects the growth of the area in commercial area.	en_US
