Abstract
The teaching of 'Ibadat' needs correct methods, which are suitable, meaningful and attractive to be understood, and later applied effectively in a student's life. This study is conducted to experiment the use of several methods such as Videos, Overhead Projectors (OHP), Demonstrations and Practicals in the teaching of 'Ibadat'. The . sample consists of 95 Form One Muslim students from five schools in the Kuala Muda District, Kedah. They are divided into four experiment groups namely the Video, OHP, Demonstration, Practicals group and also one control group, where each member of these groups came from different schools. The topics taught (treatment) are various topics of 'Ibadat' which are specially chosen. The teaching was conducted by teachers who were selected and they used various teaching methodology. The outcome shows that there are significant differences at T' level of 0.05 probability between the experimental group and the control group. This signifies that the Video, OHP, Demonstration, Practical methodologies are good and effective· for teaching 'Ibadat'. However there were no significant differences of the mean scores among the experimental groups. These would mean that Video, OHP, Demonstration and Practical are at par with other methodologies.
