dc.description.abstract | The present study aims to examine the antecedents (standardisation, mission and values, governance structure) and outcome (beneficiary satisfaction) of corporate community development (CCD) practices. This study used a cross-sectional research design in which the questionnaire survey method was employed to collect data. Data for this study included the perceptions of beneficiaries of Islamic banks in Bangladesh (IBB) regarding the link among standardisation, mission and values, governance structure, and beneficiary satisfaction. The population of the study comprised all the CCD beneficiaries in the Islamic banks in Bangladesh. Because of the lack of a complete list of beneficiaries, the sample was taken using the judgmental sampling technique, part of the purposive sampling of a nonprobability sampling design. A total of 281 useable questionnaires were returned, giving a response rate of 39.03%. Partial Least Square (PLS) second generation structural equation modelling (SEM) software was employed to test the hypothesized relationship. The result of the present study revealed that CCD practices have a significant influence on beneficiary satisfaction. The direct effects of standardisation and governance structure on CCD practices were found to be significant, but mission and values on CCD practices was found to be insignificant. This study contributes to address the beneficiary satisfaction by exploring antecedents of CCD practices in IBB subsidiaries at social levels and integrating stakeholders’ views. Finally, the present study provides theoritical and practical implications and recommendations to existing CCD practitioners, benefactors, and leaders, to improve their efforts to enhance CCD practices and increase beneficiary satisfaction. | en_US |
