In the context of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) education, particularly in regions such as Libya where English is not the native language, engaging students and improving their speaking skills remains a significant challenge. Traditional methods often fail to motivate students effectively or develop their communicative abilities in real-world contexts. This mixed-method study addresses these challenges by exploring the effects of integrating Improv Cards and personalized feedback within role-playing techniques on the speaking skills, motivation, and attitudes of Libyan undergraduate students enrolled in EFL courses. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the research combines quantitative and qualitative methods to provide a comprehensive analysis of the impact of these pedagogical strategies.
