| dc.description.abstract | Andrographis paniculata (Burm.f.) Wall. ex Nees, known as “hempedu bumi”, has been studied for its cognitive-enhancing and neuroprotective effects. However, the study on the potential of A. paniculata diterpenoids-enriched fraction against learning and memory impairment is limited, particularly in vascular-pathology-related dementia. Thus, this study aimed to enhance the methanolic extract of A. paniculata via the enrichment of diterpenoids through a fractionation process and evaluate its cognitive-enhancing and neuroprotective effects along with andrographolide, the major diterpenoid of A. paniculata, using in vitro and in vivo models. | |
