Abstract
English language proficiency is one of the highly sought-after skills among employers worldwide, yet it still does not meet their expectations. Previous studies have reported that communication apprehension is a significant obstacle that hinders students from delivering effective oral communication. To address this issue, it is important to develop students’ self-efficacy dan self-directed learning because effective oral communication occurs when there is a strong foundation of self-efficacy and a culture of self-directed learning. Therefore, the aim of this study is to determine how utilising a Facebook-based e-portfolio affects university students' oral communication in English, self-efficacy and self-directed learning.
