This study focuses on the pathways of servant leadership that influence lecturers’ innovative behavior and work engagement in Chinese higher vocational colleges. The study employed self-determination theory and situational strength theory to construct an integrative framework that examines the mediating effect of psychological empowerment and perceptions of organizational support, as well as the moderating role of leader-member exchange.
