Abstract
Light is important and useful for human and it is more interesting if it can emit different colours. There are lamps that can emit different colours but it is only can emit one colour for each LED. This thesis is for designing RGB LED light source that can emit different colours just using one LED where it can be used for different place and environment. This method can reduce cost for producing beautiful colour of light. First of all it is a requirement to know about Pulse Width Modulation and microcontroller as it is a method to be used during designing the RGB LED light source. This thesis produces 13 beautiful colours which are red, green, blue, reddish orange, bluish green, white, purple, pink, orange, light yellow, yellow, magenta and cyan. To produce those colours, varying Pulse Width Modulation is needed for each pin of RGB LED using 8-bit microcontroller. There are two switches that being used in this project which are Switch A and Switch B. Switch is used to control the switch on and off the colourful light that user wants.
