Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to put forth a Home Automation System Using ESP32 that focuses on tackling the problems of manually controlled home attributes
in a household such as lighting, cooling and electronic appliances. The research investigates the design and implementation of a real-time monitoring system using microcontrollers, IoT technology and other electronic components. A survey of related studies is done, showing off different approaches and technologies used in other home automation systems. The requirement for an automated, dependable, and precise method to monitor home attributes in an average household is the main focus of the problem statement. The methodology includes the design process of a home automation system that utilises an ESP32 microcontroller and relay module 4 channel 5V relay module. Hardware assembly, software integration, and practical testing in a simulated household environment are all part of the project. Findings show that the system effectively monitors and controls home attributes, displaying the status on both the Blynk IoT platform and mobile application for users to check. The results show the potential of the system in presenting real-time home attribute monitoring, which will improve user control over the household. Future recommendations include integration of motion sensors and security and surveillance systems to better the system’s performance. This will also reduce energy consumption and costs for the user of the system.
