Abstract
As the need for advanced navigation systems for mobile autonomous robots in outdoor settings grows, this project attempts to create a complete solution that combines real-time data from Google Maps, GPS technology, and the capabilities of the Robot Operating System (ROS). The objective of the project is to develop an intelligent and intuitive navigation system that will allow a mobile robot to travel independently across outdoor environments from a user-specified starting point to a predetermined destination. Creating the software to link a mobile robot with Google Maps is the first step in this project. Visual Studio Code used to write the code. The key components of the project include the integration of the Google Maps API with ROS, which facilitates communication between the external mapping service and the robot's control system. This integration allows the robot to receive navigation instructions from Google Maps, enabling it to adapt to dynamic changes in the environment and optimize its path in real-time.
