This project that hypothesised the invasiveness of MDA-MB-231 is caused by the presence of CD105+ cells (mesenchymal-like stem cells) in the cancer cell population, managed to isolate the CD105+ from the cell population of MDA-MB-231 using the MASC Magnetic Cell Sorting Kit. The project found that removal of the CD105+ cells from the cell population of MDA-MB-231 did not reduce the growth rate or caused any apoptotic effect to the cell population.en_US
