dc.description.abstract | Quality improvement is the waste and variability reduction in process control and product development. Continuous improvement is one of the imperative objectives of quality. The main goal of Lean Six Sigma is to focus on improving the quality of manufacturing process. Nowadays, global organizations have developed Lean Six Sigma and established in almost all industries because it can be a powerful tool to help them strive on the quality basis of products. Lean Six Sigma has been considered as a revolutionary methodology to process control and product quality improvement through the effective use of statistical methods. It is imperative to take the key drivers into consideration so that can accomplish the full impact of Lean Six Sigma in improving the quality performance. The objective of research is to formulate an overview of all internal and external drivers which impact on the quality performance of Lean Six Sigma among manufacturing companies. This research study adopts quantitative approach from the perspectives of Lean Six Sigma practitioners to comprehend the relationship of internal and external drivers with organizational culture as a moderating variable. It is revealed inter-departmental coordination in the form of cross functional team responsibility is crucial to contribute on continuous improvements. Lean Six Sigma practitioners must be recognized and rewarded at right time for long term contributions. Besides, it is vital to understand the customers’ wants and offer the products that meeting their requirements and expectations. The shared organizational values and beliefs can foster the employees together and convert into strategies for the organization to accomplish its goals. To conclude, an integrated practical guide has been formulated based on the findings in this study for existing and future Lean Six Sigma practitioners to bring out the true power of Lean Six Sigma and it can be customized for global applications. | en_US |
