dc.description.abstractThe study attempts to predict the relationship between Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and adoption of ISO 9000 and to identify which CSFs play the main role in achieving ISO 9000 standard. This relationship was further investigated on the ISO 9000 implementation and the performance outcome for companies adopti.ng JSO 90.00 standard. A survey using structured que$tionnaire was employed. A total of 155 respondents from 155 small and medium enterprises participated in this study. With regards to critical success factors, a discriminant analy;;is was conducted and the results showed that three out of nine critical success factors is statistically significant between ISO 9000 and non-ISO 9000 certified companies which are communication for quality, information and analysis and organizational culture. Performance outcome was conducted using t-test and the result shows significant between ISO 9000 and non-ISO 9000 certified companies. The study is found statistically significant that ISO 9000 companies perform better than non ISO 9000 companies for both financial performance and non financial performance outcomes.en_US
