dc.description.abstractOutsourcing is becoming popular trend in today's business world. In the current dynamic business environment, outsourcing is being an aide for multinational companies to optimize return on investments. Business process outsourcing (BPO) is a chosen strategy to minimize cost and focus on the development of own core competencies. Although BPO beneficial to organization, it also expose the organization to risk. Thus, in this case the risk management practiced by Intel Corporation at their new plant in Vietnam is discussed. The research is focus on identifying the risks connected with the job that outsourced by Intel Vietnam and study the impact of the risk using the tool of risk management analysis. Subsequently, the case examines the steps undertaken to mitigate and manage the risks to ensure the problems were alleviated and enhance the productivity via outsourcing as well as sustain in the competitive market. Since Intel Vietnam is only in operation about two (2) years in Vietnam, Intel has not fully capitalize BPO in Vietnam in areas related to human resource management. xiien_US
