Abstract
ELNA PCB (M) SDN BHD has been established since 1995.0ver the past 15 years, the
management team changes has taken place at ELNA PCB (M) SDN BHD. The
management team changed from a mainly Japanese staff to local multi racial
management team. Many of appointments to management level were made in-house
based on good performance or experience in previous junior positions. These
promotions were made without any basic assessment to identify competency of
particular candidates.
Therefore, it is necessary for training needs analysis to take place and identified for the
newly appointed candidate.
The purpose of this research is to determine if the current management team at ELNA
PCB (M) SDN BHD is equipped with the relevant Managerial skills. Main independent
variables include Professional Development, Leadership Development, Team Building
and Management Development. In addition, moderating variables will be assessed such
as Qualification and Work Experience. Result show that Team Building and
Management Development is significant impact on Training Needs Assessment.
Besides that, Work Experience also has significant impact on Training Needs
Assessment.
