| dc.description.abstract | In a country with fast growing population like Malaysia, the demand of housing has been on the increasing year by year. The form of development which is growing is the high rise strata type, commonly found in cities and in areas of limited land like Pulau Pinang. There have been many reports where conflict arises between the residents and the property manager appointed to manage to manage the building. This problem supports for the need to carry out a research on the causes of conflict and the way to reduce them from happening. Pulau Pinang has been selected as the case for study. Based on a total of 120 responded, we carried out an analysis by comparing the reasons for conflict against the dissatisfaction of the residents. It is found that the mam factor for conflict was caused by the lack of "communication" together with factors like low quality of cleanliness and safety' services. Few suggestions have been proposed like awareness of obligation of residents in sharing properties environment, upgrading of the weakness of existing acts, involvement of local authority, and control of property manager's management method and quality. | en_US |
