This study intends to identify the factors that may affect employees' data mining readiness level. It also intends to assess the employees' readiness level in adopting the .data mining. At the same time this study will try to find out if there is any relationship between these factors and the employees' data mining readiness. Based on literatures, researches, and works available, four variables were identified, namely clarity of business strategy, users' skills and experience, data-driven culture, as well as data quality. Questionnaires were distributed using the convenience sampling method to 200 employees of twelve insurance companies in Penang and Kuala Lumpur. The findings of the study show that these employees have neutral reactions towards using data mining. The study also found that the users' skills and experience does have an impact on employees' readiness level. Nevertheless, the other three factors do not have a relationship with the employees' readiness.en_US
