An application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software is very helpful in solving the problem that might occurred especially in mapping work. In this
project, ArcView3.2 GIS software is used to produce a digital map for rainfall data of major cities in Peninsular Malaysia. Water resources development plan and
management in the future could be done more efficient and fast by referring to the map. The flood can be analyzed and development plan can be include and
prioritize for the identification of flood prone areas in the city.
